Sunday Worship—there's a spot for you!
- 8:45 a.m. Traditional worship service
- 10:00 a.m. Adult and Children Sunday School
- "the eleven" 11:00 a.m. Contemporary worship service
Nursery and children programs provided on Sundays between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Epworth United Methodist Church offers two services each Sunday with distinct styles of worship for those who prefer a traditional or contemporary service.
Our 8:45 traditional service features a more formal setting: our pastors wear robes, hymns are played on the organ and we have musical features by choirs, handbells, and orchestra, and the service follows a traditional flow.
Our 11:00 am contemporary service, the eleven, is a much less formal gathering, with contemporary praise music and many folks in jeans with coffee in hand. Learn more!
Prayer Service (monthly)
On the fourth Tuesday of each month, Epworth holds a prayer service that is designed for quiet, meditative prayer. All are welcome to join in this peaceful service of reflection and prayer.
Seasonal Services
Throughout the year, Epworth also recognizes seasonal Christian celebrations with special worship services and changing decor for the liturgical seasons. Check our calendar for additional information. Upcoming seasonal services in 2011:
- April 10 - Earth Day 8:45 & 11am
- April 17 - Palm Sunday 8:45 & 11am
- April 21 - Maundy Thursday 4-8pm - Sanctuary Open for Prayer and Communion (self-service)
- April 22 - Good Friday Service 7pm, and the Labyrinth is available from 7am-7pm
- April 24 - Easter Service 8:45 & 11am - includes a celebration of music with our chancel coir, handbells, orchestra and praise band
- September 11 - We recognize the 10th anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001 on this day.
- November 6 - All Saints Sunday
- December 18 - Christmas Music Services at 8:45 & 11am. Join us as we celebrate the advent season with an entire service of music featuring our choirs, orchestra, praise band and various soloists.
- December 24 - Christmas Eve Services 6pm (designed for families with young children) & 11pm (candlelight service)
- December 25 - Christmas Day Service
